Become a Fairground Heritage Centre Volunteer

Roll up, Roll up, it’s the show for you

Volunteers play a huge role in the running of Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre. From operating the attractions to showing people round and even looking after the effects in the Ghost Train!

We know your time is precious to you, so here is why volunteering with us will make a difference to you.

Why join us?

Volunteering at Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre will provide a variety of fun and exciting opportunities that you’ll not get anywhere else and every time you volunteer you’ll gain more knowledge.

There are many reasons why people want to volunteer with us:

  •  A chance to engage with the public
  • The unique opportunity to work with historic fairground equipment
  • To help us secure the collection for future generations
  • A full training programme with talks from industry experts
  • Behind the scenes access
  • Learning about fairgrounds and fairground history
  • To gain work experience
  • To make new friends and be part of a team

What role and how to apply:

We are currently looking for volunteers to help us with fundraising, carpentary, collections care and education visits. We are constantly adding new opportunities and we’d love to hear from you if you have a skill you’d like to share. For role descriptions or enquiries please email the Curator Ali Holmes at curator@fairground-heritage.org.uk or call on 01566 783425.

We look forward to hearing from you!
