Latest: Pleasurelands for 2007 With the major rides starring in the new museum building a new display for the old building has been launched for the 2007 season. With support from the original organisers in Sheffield, including the National Fairground Archive, and the Sheffield Galleries and Museums Trust, the popular Pleasurelands exhibition has been reconstructed using many of the original exhibits along with the displays,banners, interactives and audio visuals. The 2007 season was launched by hosting the Fairground Society’s Annual General Meeting. This proved a good boost to the beginning of the new year as the Society’s sales officer handed over a cheque for £500 to the Trust’s chairman, Richard Sandercock.
