All donations, large or small, provide vital funding for the day to day operation of the Trust. Since 2003 there have been no storage charges levied, and the work of the Trustees has been carried out on a voluntary basis. From the start of the 2006 season, the Trust will take over the running of the Dingles Steam Village site in Devon, as we gradually transform it into THE FAIRGROUND MUSEUM. This will entail carrying the overhead costs associated with the Museum - rent, rates, insurances, power, and so on. None of these costs will be grant aided.

There are also a great many other functions which need financing: accountancy and audit costs, legal fees, consultancy charges to help procure external funding, and general costs of stationery, postage, and administration. Should we be fortunate enough to secure much needed external funding for this wonderful collection, all grants will need to be match funded, and it is important that we start to stabilise the finances of the Trust for its future survival.
